In English Years 7 to 10 students read, write, view and critically explore a wide range of texts which may be adolescent literature, canonical literature, film, documentaries and any of a wide range of digital and popular texts.

English courses are organised into semester length units which consist of a broadly streamed course and a modified course (Learning Support).

Within these, learning programs may be differentiated to cater for different learning styles and abilities.

The Australian Curriculum has been implemented in English Years 7 to 10.
