Students can undertake an Australian School Based Apprenticeship (ASbA) as part of their accredited senior secondary package in years 11 & 12. Points are awarded for evidence of both the practical hours and the achievement of competencies throughout their course. A maximum of two days a week are taken for work and TAFE and three days are spent at school during term time. Students may find a suitable employer in their chosen field by carrying out work experience in year 10.

NB. All trades in the field of construction require students to hold a WHS White Card and Asbestos & Silica Awareness Certificates.
