The Daramalan College Open Evening will be held this Thursday 28 March 2019 with Tours from 5.00pm. The last group will depart at 6.30pm.

During the Evening there will be two Year 7 Information Sessions in McCowage Hall. Option 1 will be from 4.45pm – 5.15pm and Option 2 will be from 7.00pm – 7.30pm.

The sessions will provide an overview of the courses, sports and extra-curricular activities offered at Daramalan.
All tours leave from the front Reception area in small groups of 6-8. Bookings are not necessary for either the tours or the Information sessions.

There will also be a short Year 11 Information Session from 6.00pm – 6.30pm on the same evening which will provide general information for new students in Year 11 2020. This will be held in the Senior College Littleton Wing. Directions will be given at the Reception area.

Parking for this Open Evening will be at a premium and if you are unable to find a parking place in the car parks on Cowper or Morphett Streets, overflow parking will be available on the school ovals.

We offer all current Year 6 students an opportunity to visit the College and experience a small part of what life at Daramalan in Year 7 is like.
The programs are run on part days on a choice of two dates and in 2019 these are Friday 5 April or Thursday 11 April.

If your child attends a Catholic Primary School in the North Canberra, Belconnen or Gungahlin area, the students may possibly  be attending as a class group.

This also applies to students from St Gregory’s Queanbeyan and Mt Carmel Yass. Please check with your school to confirm their attendance.

For students who attend schools other than the above, Registration Forms will be available at our Open Evening on 28 March or by emailing to request a Form.

There will be a comprehensive Information Evening of all parents and students moving into Year 11 in 2020 on Thursday 23 May 2019.

The Evening will commence at 6.30pm in McCowage Hall at the front of the College with parking available in the Cowper and Morphett Streets car parks. The session will run for approximately 90 minutes.

The Evening will consist of an overview of the variety of Academic Courses available at Daramalan College in 2020, as well as the Vocational pathways we offer, plus our Sports and extra-curricular programs.

All current Year 10 families are urged to attend and bookings are not necessary.

Daramalan College enrols the majority of prospective students during the official Catholic schools Enrolment Period the year prior to entry (i.e. when a student is in Year 6 we take enrolment applications for entry into Year 7).

The Year 7 Enrolment Period for Year 7 2020 is from 6 May 2019 and closes 24 May 2019.

Daramalan College is not a “regional” school; nevertheless priority is given to Catholic students from local Catholic schools. The priority groups for enrolments are:

  1. Family – includes siblings and children of prior students
  2. Catholic children from Catholic Primary Schools
  3. Non-Catholic children from Catholic Primary Schools
  4. Catholic children from non Catholic Primary Schools
  5. Non Catholic children from non Catholic Schools

A Waiting List is formed if a particular year is over subscribed. NOTE: Late applications from any of the above categories will be placed onto a Waiting List if the year is over-subscribed.
