Year 12 student sought for Olympic advice

The Australian Olympic boss Matt Carroll was in Canberra this week with a national summit to acknowledge how the future generations will spark change and to help them become Olympic leaders in their own right.
He sought advice and suggestions from 26 students across Australia, all of whom have been recognised as Olympic change makers, and included three Canberra recipients.
Daramalan’s Aidan Gunning from Year 12, was picked from more than 1000 nominations and he presented the committee with recommendations about how the Olympic movement can affect change in equality, sustainability, engagement and empowering young people.
He was esteemed company with Olympians Marianna Tolo, Cameron Girdlestone, Brooke Hanson, Josh Katz, Kot Ngawati, Greta Small and Kathy Watt also being part of the two-day summit.
