A big congratulations to the Daramalan students who participated in the finals of the CIT Constructions and Engineering Bridge Challenge held on Friday 21 June, beating out 17 teams of 185 students.

One of our teams was chosen as the ACT Champions by achieving the highest combined score in the three judging categories of Innovation and Aesthetics, Strength and Efficiency.

Daramalan’s second team received the Efficiency Champions award which recognises the Strength to Weight ratio which is the most efficient bridge based on the weight of the bridge and the load it carried.

They following students should be very proud of themselves:

The ACT Constructions and Engineering Bridge Challenge Champions – their bridge carried a load of 135kg.

Sarah Nutt, Siobhan Dooley, Sophie Munro-Mobbs, Lauren Steinman, Cameron Gordon and Xavier Makin

The ACT Efficiency Champions, whose bridge carried a load of 160kg:

Patrick Phillips, Emma Horne and Meisha Morris.
