In some wonderful news, Lorina Gore (Class of 1995) won the award for Best Female Performer in a Supporting Role in an Opera at this year’s Helpmann Awards in Sydney. Lorina plays Roxana in Opera Australia’s production of “King Roger” which is currently on at the State Theatre in Melbourne.
When she was here at Daramalan, Lorina even back then stood out, saying “she came to Daramalan for our Creative Arts department”. She went on to win the very first local Canberra Theatre Award for her performance in our 1995 College musical.
Lorina has had regular lead roles with the Australian Opera since then, including Violetta from “La Traviata”. Congratulations Lorina!
