Daramalan Year 12 student, Danielle Kuipers was recently announced as an ACT Vocational Student of The Year finalist and Daramalan couldn’t be prouder.
Danielle is studying a Certificate III in Business (Business Skills & Practical Applications Course). Danielle’s journey in VET began in 2018 when she completed a Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology.
VET was the perfect option for Danielle to combine with her tertiary package, as it provided flexibility and allowed her to develop skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification. Since undertaking vocational training, Danielle recognises the many advantages it offers, including the skill sets in computer literacy, and underpinning legislation such as work health and safety and common codes of practice such as privacy and discrimination. Danielle uses her passion for learning to positively influence others. She believes, ‘When you are passionate about what you are doing, others will naturally listen to you and be interested in what you have to say.’
